Amanda Wallen

     Mrs. Amanda Butcher-Wallen is a 1997 graduate of Scott High School. She furthered her education at Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio where she graduated in 2003 with a Masters in Business Administration. When her daughter was diagnosed with cancer, she decided to change careers and graduated in 2007 from Marshall University with a Business Education degree.  After only teaching one year, she knew that her heart was in Special Education. She is graduating in the fall of 2010 from Marshall University with a Masters in Multicategorical Special Education. Mrs. Wallen has started teaching in 2006 and is pleased to be returning to Madison Middle School this 2010-11 school year.

     She is married to John and has three beautiful children Joshua, age 11, McKinley, age 7, and Malloree, age 11. Along with her love of teaching and making children smile, she enjoys raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, traveling, and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle.
