Miss. Monique Nunley graduated from Poca High School in 1982.  She enrolled at WV State College where she received her B.S. degree in Music Education in 1987.  She received a Masters in Media Studies from WV State University in 2006 and is currently working on a Masters in Educational Computing from Marshall University Graduate College.   Miss. Nunley started her teaching  career in 1988 at Wahama Jr./Sr. High.  She came to Boone County in the fall of 1988 when she became band director at Van Jr./Sr. High School for two years before taking a general music position at Van and Wharton Elementary Schools.  In 1991 she became the director of bands at Scott High School in Madison, WV.   She remained at Scott High School until becoming the computer teacher at Madison Middle School in 2006.

     Miss. Nunley still likes to work with the music directors of Madison Middle and Scott High Schools helping out in anyway she can.  She also keeps a hand in the music field by coordinating the county music festival.  She enjoys being able to work with both of her passions which are music and technology.

     Miss. Nunley resides in Madison where she enjoys reading, working in her yard, computers and hanging out with friends.
