Kimberly Graham teaches strings for Boone County Schools and has been in that position since 1994. Ms. Graham graduated in 1976 from Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston and continued her education at WVU. She completed a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance in 1980 and a Master of Music in Cello Performance in 1988. After coming to Boone County, Ms. Graham completed a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Marshall in 2000.
       The strings program has grown greatly over the years, and is now offered in all schools in Boone County. Ms. Graham now covers 10 of those schools and teaches students from 3rd grade through 12th grade.
      As a professional musician, Ms. Graham has been a cellist in the West Virginia Symphony since 1980. She also has performed with the Seneca Chamber Orchestra, the Huntington Symphony, the Ohio Valley Symphony, and many colleges and churches throughout the region. Ms. Graham also maintains a private teaching studio at her home in Charleston. The cello owned by Ms. Graham was hand crafted by WV luthier Harold Hayslett from WV maple wood.
